I also had two babies, took a 4-month maternity leave, took two months off every summer (and will be taking 3 months off this summer), and I had no help (no nanny, no housekeeper, no errand runner or personal assistant, and no family nearby to assist either). And I've only had very part-time virtual assistance for the past few years...

And I finance my business myself. My family could live quite comfortably on my income alone these days, and as a matter of fact, we're transitioning into that reality right now (which is very exciting!!).

I don't tell you all this to impress you, but to impress upon you that if *I* can create over $100,000, you can too. As a matter of fact, many of my clients made 6-figures before I did by following my systems! ;-)


But I'm getting ahead of myself here...

Let's go back...

About 10 years ago, I was in the middle of a divorce and had just left a job that paid me less in a year than what I've made several times in a SINGLE MONTH now.

For the first time in my life, I was completely on my own - both personally and professionally.

I had always wanted (in fact, *needed* is probably a better word here) to be my own boss, have the option to make as much money as I wanted, and have control over my life. This was particularly important to me to do BEFORE I started a family (mind you, I hadn't even met the right guy yet, but I knew that when I did, I wanted to be home to raise our children).

And just as important, there was a something gnawing at me - and it had been for a very long time. I knew I was meant to do more - much more - than what I was doing with my life at the time. And I knew it was my time and my turn.

It was truly 'now or never'.

I chose NOW and started my own consulting business with exactly one client.

In the beginning...

I did all the traditional things that everyone tells you to do. And what happened? I struggled and struggled to get clients! I was trading my time for money and I was getting nowhere fast.


But I was determined NOT to have to work for someone else ever again.


So, I immersed myself in learning from other very successful solopreneurs who'd already figured out how to make it work. I invested in myself and my business by hiring my own coach, and as soon as I started implementing the strategies and tactics I learned from my coach and other mentors, things started to turn around in my business.

And that worked for awhile, but it wasn't enough. Although I had stopped trading time for money and I was making several thousand dollars a month, I was still working too hard for too little income. And I was stuck.

So I began searching for a new model to follow, which I discovered, tested out and found worked extremely well for me. That's when I moved into generating multiple 6-figures in my business, with far less effort and much more joy.

And then I started teaching my clients this new model, and they started enjoying their own successes with it too, and I couldn't have been happier.

But then something happened... I started having conversatons with other solo-preneurs who were also learning this new model, but it wasn't working. They were really struggling with it. And I knew why - it was because they simply weren't ready for it. Their business - and their mindset in most cases - simply wasn't mature enough to apply this new model successfully.

So I coached them to do things differently, based on my own experience from being where they were at in the past, and not only was the sense of relief and joy of what they were then able to do palpable, they started to become successful in their business again.

I've put a lot of thought into this, figuratively and literally drawing it out, and the result is a brand-new business model that I've designed that fits you wherever you are on your business-building path.

I don't worry about having the cash down payment for our next home that we're looking for right now. I don't doubt our decision to move back to New England to be closer to family, even in a tough housing market, because I know that I can take care of our family financially inspite of it.

I don't sweat writing out the large check to pay my childrens' private school tuition.

I don't worry about having 'extra' money so we can go on vacation for 11 weeks this summer at a waterfront cottage.

My business now brings in 5 figures a MONTH consistently. That's more money that I ever made in a YEAR working for someone else - and there's nothing sweeter than that!
